Established in 2011 as a dedicated childcare setting, Little Sunshines Daycare & Pre-School has been providing warm, nurturing care in the Keston and Bromley area for over 13 years.
How it all began
Little Sunshines was born from a shared passion for early years education and a desire to create a childcare setting that felt truly different. We wanted to build a place where children would feel safe, happy and excited to learn—a home away from home.
Since opening our doors in 2011, we've grown steadily, year by year, welcoming families from across Keston, Bromley and the surrounding areas. What started as a small venture has blossomed into a thriving setting, yet we've never lost sight of our roots. We remain proudly small and traditional, with the same values and dedication we had from day one.
Every child who joins us becomes part of our extended family, and we're honoured that so many parents continue to trust us with their most precious little ones.
Who we are
We are a small, traditional nursery with spacious indoor rooms and beautiful outdoor grounds, nestled in the heart of the Keston area in Bromley. Our setting is based at Homesdale Football Club, giving us access to wonderful green spaces where children can explore, play and connect with nature.
Running since 2011, we offer a level of personal care and attention that larger settings simply can't match. You'll see the same familiar faces every day, and we'll get to know your child's personality, interests and needs inside out.
Our team is passionate, qualified and committed to ongoing professional development. We work together closely to create a warm, supportive atmosphere where children feel valued and parents feel confident their little ones are in safe, caring hands.

To provide high-quality, affordable childcare and early education in a safe, stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment. We strive to support every child's unique journey, nurturing their curiosity, confidence and love of learning while building strong, trusting relationships with families.
Our Approach
We follow the Curiosity Approach combined with the UK's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
The Curiosity Approach
We embrace natural, open-ended resources and authentic materials that spark wonder and imagination. Our calm, inspiring environment encourages children to explore at their own pace, ask questions and make meaningful connections. Staff observe carefully and support learning based on each child's unique interests and curiosity.
EYFS Framework
We follow the seven areas of learning outlined in the EYFS: communication, physical development, personal and social skills, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts. This ensures your child receives a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate education.
Developing Life Skills & Critical Thinking
Beyond academics, we help children develop the social and emotional skills they'll need throughout life. Through play, collaboration and guided experiences, children learn to:

Our Environment
Indoor Spaces
Spacious, light-filled rooms designed for different age groups. Each area is thoughtfully set up with age-appropriate resources, cosy reading corners, creative art stations and role-play areas.
Outdoor Grounds
Beautiful outdoor play areas with grass, play equipment and natural materials. Children have daily access to fresh air, physical play and opportunities to explore nature and the changing seasons.
Activities & Resources
From messy play and water activities to construction, music, books and sensory experiences—we provide a rich variety of activities that inspire curiosity and creativity.
Meals & Wellbeing
Nutrition and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.
Freshly Cooked Meals
All our meals are prepared fresh on site every day using quality ingredients. Menus are varied, balanced and designed to appeal to young children while meeting their nutritional needs.
We cater for all dietary requirements, allergies and cultural preferences—just let us know your child's needs and we'll take care of the rest.
