Welcome to Little Sunshines
Thank you for your interest in Little Sunshines Daycare & Pre-School. We are a small, family-run setting established in 2011 with a shared passion for early years education.
Located in the beautiful Keston area of Bromley, we provide high-quality, affordable childcare and early education for children aged 0–5 years. Our setting is based at Homesdale Football Club, giving us access to spacious indoor rooms and wonderful outdoor grounds where children can explore, play and discover.
We pride ourselves on creating a homely environment that feels like an extension of your own family—small, traditional and focused on what matters most: your child's happiness and development.

Our Educational Approach
We follow the Curiosity Approach, viewing children as capable, curious and creative individuals. This modern pedagogy values slowing down and using natural, open-ended resources and authentic materials to spark wonder and imagination. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, ask questions and make meaningful connections, while staff act as guides, supporting learning based on each child's unique interests.
We also follow the UK's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring all seven areas of learning are covered:

Our Age Groups
Baby Room (0–2 years)
Our baby room provides a nurturing, secure environment where your little one's individual routine is respected. We focus on sensory exploration, tummy time, and building early attachments through responsive care.
Toddler Room (2–3 years)
Toddlers are natural explorers! Our toddler room encourages independence, language development and social skills through play. We support emerging communication and help children learn to share, take turns and express themselves.
Preschool Room (3–5 years)
Our preschool room prepares children for their next big adventure—school! Children lead their learning through projects, problem-solving and creative thinking, developing pre-literacy, numeracy and school readiness skills.
A Typical Day
Freshly Cooked Meals
Good nutrition is essential for growing children. All our meals are prepared fresh on site every day using high-quality ingredients. Our menus are carefully planned to be nutritionally balanced, delicious and varied.
We cater for all dietary requirements, allergies, religious requirements and cultural preferences. Just let us know your child's needs and we'll make sure they're well looked after.
Sample Daily Menu
- Breakfast: Porridge with fruit or toast
- Morning Snack: Fresh fruit and milk
- Lunch: Chicken & vegetable pasta with yoghurt
- Afternoon Snack: Crackers with cheese and cucumber
- Tea: Sandwiches, vegetable sticks and fruit
Outdoor Play & Nature
Our beautiful outdoor spaces offer daily opportunities for physical play, nature discovery and fresh air. Children benefit from outdoor learning in all weathers (with appropriate clothing), exploring the changing seasons and developing gross motor skills through climbing, running and physical challenges.
Fees & Funding
We accept government funding for eligible children, including:
- 2-year-old funding for eligible families
- Universal 15 hours for all 3 & 4-year-olds
- Extended 30 hours for eligible working parents
- Tax-Free Childcare scheme
